Veeam releases Data Platform v13.1 with expanded hypervisor support and enhanced threat detection.
Veeam Software announced general availability of Veeam Data Platform v13.1, expanding support to 14 total hypervisors including Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and XCP-ng.
The update introduces stronger enterprise application coverage for EPIC EHR, Db2 for Windows, and Oracle, alongside expanded security features including malware scanning for NAS and Active Directory Forest Recovery.
Enhanced threat detection enables validation of recovery points before restoration across hybrid environments. The platform aims to help organizations address the gap where fewer than one in three ransomware victims recover all their data despite high confidence levels.
