Red Hat unveils asago, an open source project to automate AI governance policies for enterprises.
Red Hat introduced asago (AI Safety And Governance Orchestration), a collaborative open source initiative designed to help enterprises automate AI governance policies and accelerate safe deployment.
The project, backed by Microsoft, IBM Research, the Alan Turing Institute, and others, translates complex corporate and regulatory policies into operational controls. Asago addresses deployment bottlenecks by focusing on risk mapping, assessment, mitigation, and production deployment while maintaining audit trails.
The framework supports compliance with standards including NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM Top 10, and the EU AI Act, enabling organizations to scale trusted AI across hybrid cloud environments.
