What the world doesn’t need is a long and complicated theoretical discussion of what it means to care for the data found in the AI environment. What the world needs is a straightforward, simple definition of what needs to be done and how to do it. According to Inmon, successful AI management in corporations requires:
- A governance framework for AI data — ensuring trust, quality, and compliance.
- A corporate LLM tailored to internal data, with careful attention to data volume, format, and reliability
- Metadata-driven architecture to make AI systems more accurate and maintainable
- Controlled use of generative AI to avoid “LLM flab” and cost overruns
Bill Inmon is the Founder, Chairman, CEO, Best-Selling Author, University of Denver & Scalefree Advisory Board Member and a leading expert in data architecture and governance who is now applying his expertise to guide organizations on managing AI, especially in corporate environments, through practical frameworks, governance principles, and technology strategies. Inmon is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Datavox, a generative AI platform that converts unstructured data into structured, analyzable formats.
