Supply consolidation, demand swings driven by AI infrastructure, and aggressive capacity controls have turned flash economics into a moving target. Over the past year, enterprise SSD pricing has increased sharply: often 75-125% depending on capacity tier and availability, putting pressure on storage plans that were built on very different assumptions.
