Despite being one of the oldest NFL franchises (2023 was their 94th season), the Detroit Lions have never played in the Superbowl but came one game away from that honor this past week-end. They had some championship wins in the 50s, but most ensuing seasons have been lack-luster, yet they still had a loyal fan base.
Things started to turnaround when Coach Dan Campbell came onboard in 2021. He's been credited with changing the team culture by inspiring his players and by building trusting relationships.
