Every morning I stop by the same cafe. I walk in, give a sleepy nod, and like magic, my oat-milk latte appears. No words. No waiting. Just a small ritual of mutual understanding that makes the morning feel slightly less chaotic.
Then one day the barista looks up, squints at the screen, and says, 'You usually get the cappuccino, right?'
