ServiceNow Opens Its Full System of Action to Every AI Agent in the Enterprise

ServiceNow launches Action Fabric to enable any AI agent to execute governed enterprise workflows directly through an open Model Context Protocol Server.
ServiceNow announced ServiceNow Action Fabric at Knowledge 2026, opening its AI Platform and full system of action to any AI agent, including those built on Claude, Copilot, or custom solutions, through a generally available Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server.
Unlike platforms that only allow data access, ServiceNow enables agents to execute governed work including workflows, playbooks, approvals, and catalogs, with all actions running through the AI Control Tower for verification, permission scoping, and auditability.
The announcement highlights a partnership with Anthropic, where Claude Cowork integrates directly with ServiceNow's system of action to provide enterprise execution within tools employees already use.
As AI agents scale globally from an estimated 28.6 million in 2025 to over 2.2 billion by 2030, ServiceNow positions itself as a shared runtime where both human and AI operational workloads run on a single governed platform.
