DataRobot launches OpenCode, a coding agent that lets enterprises swap underlying models without repeating governance reviews.
DataRobot introduced OpenCode, a coding agent designed to break the vendor lock-in that ties most of the 70-plus coding agents on the market to a single model provider.
OpenCode supports closed, open, and bring-your-own models, routing all traffic through DataRobot's LLM Gateway so governance stays centralized regardless of which model a team picks.
Installation takes three CLI commands with no separate API keys, and preinstalled enterprise skills such as Agent Assist ship with it.
Switching models becomes a configuration change rather than a vendor change, letting teams test cost-sensitive alternatives alongside frontier models.
