Sophos Firewall v22 MR2 adds post-quantum cryptography detection, sharper generative AI app control and Manifest V3 Chromebook support.
Sophos released Firewall v22 MR2, a maintenance release focused on emerging encryption and AI traffic.
The firewall can now identify and control post-quantum cryptography, detecting both pure and hybrid PQC key exchange algorithms so they cannot be used as an evasion channel.
Synchronized Security integration with Sophos Endpoint improves accuracy when identifying and controlling generative AI applications at the network layer, and a new Chromebook User ID extension supports Manifest V3.
The release also updates Let's Encrypt certificate chain support and ships Config Studio v2.6 with template merging and multi-file comparison, alongside more than 50 reliability and security fixes.
