SUSE Multi-Linux Manager 5.2 Announcement: Enabling Operational Sovereignty Across Mixed Linux Estates

SUSE, Monday, July 13th, 2026

SUSE shipped Multi-Linux Manager 5.2 globally, managing patching and compliance across more than 16 Linux distributions.

SUSE announced global availability of SUSE Multi-Linux Manager 5.2 and Multi-Linux Manager for Retail 5.2, positioning the product as a vendor-independent control plane for patching, provisioning, compliance and lifecycle governance across more than 16 Linux distributions.

The release adds a native Model Context Protocol server in technology preview so AI workflows can query and act on fleet state. OVAL-based CVE auditing reduces false positives in vulnerability reporting, and client support expands to RHEL 10, Rocky 10, AlmaLinux 10, Debian 13 and Amazon Linux.

Kubernetes deployment on RKE2 and K3s arrives as a technology preview, and SUSE committed to a two-year release cadence with three years of general support per release.
