IBM and Red Hat commercially launch Lightwell to automate enterprise vulnerability remediation at scale.
IBM and Red Hat announced the commercial launch of Lightwell, a platform designed to automate vulnerability remediation across enterprise systems.
It comprises two offerings: Lightwell Network, providing an actively updated library of remediations with digitally signed binaries and compliance artifacts, and Lightwell Clearinghouse Premier, a trusted intermediary for industry collaboration and threat coordination.
Red Hat CEO Matt Hicks called it a fundamental structural shift in how enterprise software is secured, combining automated remediation with engineering expertise.
IBM's Rob Thomas emphasized certified fixes that enterprises can adopt without disruption. Accenture noted Lightwell helps organizations maintain production stability while avoiding disruptive upgrade cycles.
