Cursor and SpaceXAI release Grok 4.6, targeting long-running agents and matching GPT-5.6 Sol on a composite index.
Cursor released Grok 4.6 together with SpaceXAI, building on Grok 4.5 with a focus on long-running agents and more ambitious interactive and visual work.
The model is designed to stay with complex tasks across many steps, from researching to working across a codebase. Cursor says it reaches frontier intelligence on several agentic coding and knowledge-work benchmarks and matches GPT-5.6 Sol on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index.
Training involved a longer supplemental run with curated reasoning data and an improved optimizer, followed by agentic reinforcement learning. The model is available immediately in Cursor and Grok Build with 2x included usage for the first week.
