Oracle Set to Bring Quantum Computing to OCI for Hybrid AI Workloads
TechTarget, Tuesday, August 19th, 2025
Oracle will host Quantinuum's 98-qubit Helios system in an OCI AI data center alongside GPU and HPC resources.
Oracle plans to install Quantinuum's Helios quantum computer, a 98-physical-qubit trapped-ion system, inside a US-based OCI AI data center and expose it through a planned OCI quantum service.
The system will sit alongside existing GPU and HPC resources so developers can move from simulation to real quantum hardware without leaving their governance and security controls.
The intended workloads are hybrid quantum-AI jobs rather than standalone quantum computation. Enterprise adoption is still experimental, with near-term value expected in algorithm development, workforce readiness, and targeted research in optimization, materials science, and drug discovery.
