Trellix CTO Joe Chen describes how the company reworked its own engineering practices around AI-native security engineering. He cites Trellix research showing a 67% increase in AI-driven APT campaigns and a 300% increase in monthly attack cadence as evidence that incremental improvement is no longer sufficient against machine-speed threats.
Chen, who joined as CTO in May, notes that frontier models were compressing traditional time-to-exploit across the industry while Trellix was simultaneously navigating its own security matter requiring an expedited review of its codebase, architecture and supply chain.
