Anthropic has published a preview of the Model Hardware Standard, released as a research preview for feedback. The work concerns the relationship between frontier models and the hardware they run on, an area where standardization affects security, verification and deployment assurance.
As a research preview, the material is intended to invite scrutiny and comment from the wider community before anything is finalized. The post sets out the proposal and the reasoning behind it.
