OpenZFS 2.4.4 adds Linux 7.2 kernel compatibility while keeping support for older platforms.
OpenZFS 2.4.4, the latest stable point release of the open source ZFS file system, now supports the recently released Linux 7.2 kernel.
The update keeps backward compatibility with Linux versions back to 4.18 and FreeBSD 13.3 onward.
Beyond kernel compatibility it includes multiple bug fixes covering test cases, security policies, and general codebase improvements.
Parallel releases of 2.3.9 and 2.2.11 show the project's commitment to long-term stability across branches, with all versions available via GitHub.
