Announcing the Databricks Big Book of AgentOps
Databricks, Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026
Databricks published a practical guide to deploying governed, reliable AI agents in production on its platform.
Databricks released the Big Book of AgentOps, framing AgentOps as the operating discipline for building, evaluating, governing and improving AI agents in production.
The guide brings architecture, evaluation, observability, governance, security and cost management together into a process teams can repeat rather than reinvent per project.
It combines field-tested architectures and technical best practices with playbooks for stakeholder alignment, acknowledging that agent programs fail for organizational reasons as often as technical ones. Common pitfalls are called out explicitly so teams can avoid them before they reach production.
