From Pilot to Production: How to Scale Enterprise AI Without Operational Sprawl

SUSE, Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026

SUSE explains why AI pilots that succeed in isolation accumulate operational sprawl when platform teams scale them enterprise-wide.

Proving an AI use case and scaling it across an enterprise are different problems, SUSE argues.

Pilots have a limited operational scope with few teams, integrations, environments and support requirements, so decisions that were reasonable in isolation start to compound as more teams push AI into production.

The post identifies platform teams as the ones who absorb that accumulated complexity, and lays out how to avoid the sprawl that follows. It is aimed at organizations moving beyond proofs of concept into sustained production AI operations.
