Axis physical security devices can now be managed from the Meraki dashboard, unifying IT and physical security.
Axis Communications devices can now be managed through the Cisco Meraki dashboard, bringing physical security cameras and access control under the same interface as network infrastructure.
The convergence addresses a real operational gap, since physical security devices are frequently network-connected but managed entirely outside IT, which leaves them unpatched and unmonitored.
Centralizing visibility means these devices appear in the same inventory and incident workflows as everything else, which is usually the first step toward securing them at all.
