Veeam Expands Palo Alto Networks Cortex Integrations for Deeper Investigation and Response

Cortex XSOAR analysts can now scan protected backup data, validate Entra ID users and publish disks for forensics.
The Veeam App for Palo Alto Networks gained expanded Cortex XSOAR capabilities, letting SOC analysts scan protected backup data with Veeam Threat Hunter and antivirus tools, validate Microsoft Entra ID users, publish disks for forensic analysis and run Security and Compliance Analyzer assessments.
Connecting backup data to security operations is genuinely useful during investigations, since backups often contain the only surviving copy of a compromised system's earlier state. Being able to search that history without restoring the system is the practical benefit.
