At the 69th IT Press Tour in Ljubljana, DataCore VP of Products Said Boukhizou presented the software-defined storage vendor's strategy built on four freedoms: hardware, data, hypervisor, and deployment choice.
DataCore has expanded through acquisitions including Caringo, MayaData, Object Matrix, Pixitmedia, Arcastream, and StarWind, and is now moving from integration to a unified platform spanning block, file, object, container, and HCI storage. Its next step is agentic AI for IT operations using an observe-reason-recommend-act loop with human approval and guardrails.
