A Travelers survey of business leaders found security breaches, AI-related breaches, and vendor or supply-chain revenue loss are their top three worries, with exploited vulnerabilities, social engineering, and unauthorized data access as the leading AI-specific concerns.
The survey found a governance gap: about 90% of respondents use AI daily, but fewer than 60% have formal AI governance, and 47% lack visibility into AI use across their organization.
Preparedness is mixed, as 80% use firewalls and 75% patch diligently, but only about half run attack simulations or have incident-response retainers, and 40% have no written incident response plan at all. Concerns vary by sector, with healthcare worried about outages and retail about vendor intrusions.
