Cloudflare brings EuroLLM and Switzerland's Apertus open models to Workers AI and launches AI-defense workshops for government agencies.
Cloudflare argues AI sovereignty need not be zero-sum and says nations should have genuine choice of models.
It is bringing two European open models to Workers AI: EuroLLM, covering all 24 official EU languages, and Apertus, Switzerland's fully open model trained on more than 1,500 languages.
Cloudflare is also launching hands-on workshops to help government cyber agencies and critical infrastructure operators build model-agnostic AI defenses, starting in Singapore in October.
