Workers KV Instant uses Cloudflare's internal Quicksilver store to deliver sub-2ms p99 reads and about 250ms global replication.
Cloudflare introduced Workers KV Instant, a new mode for Workers KV backed by Quicksilver, the key-value store that nearly every Cloudflare request already uses internally.
KV Instant keeps the familiar Workers KV API but pushes changes globally for immediate availability, eliminating cold-read penalties and TTL waits.
Cloudflare cites sub-2ms p99 read latency, roughly 100 times faster p99 reads, and about 250ms replication across its 300-plus edge locations.
