Broadcom Introduces VMware HyperArmor, Expanding Hypervisor Security and Protections for VMware Cloud Foundation

Broadcom launched VMware HyperArmor, adding zero-day protection for the VCF ESX hypervisor with no downtime or in-guest agents.
Broadcom introduced VMware HyperArmor, a new software solution that protects the VMware ESX hypervisor in VMware Cloud Foundation by closing exposure windows without disrupting workloads.
It targets the two main causes of hypervisor attacks, stolen root credentials and unpatched vulnerabilities, by allowing only known-good processes to run on the host.
HyperArmor supports ESX 8.x and later and complements VCF live patching, vDefend network-level virtual patching and Avi Load Balancer WAAP for defense in depth.
