Raiffeisen Informatik Cuts Mainframe Cyber Recovery From an Estimated Seven Days to Two Hours With Hitachi Vantara

Hitachi Vantara, Tuesday, October 20th, 2026

Raiffeisen Informatik cuts mainframe cyber recovery from about seven days to two hours using Hitachi Vantara VSP immutable snapshots.

Hitachi Vantara says Raiffeisen Informatik, one of Austria's largest banking IT services providers, has implemented a cyber resiliency architecture for its mainframe with Hitachi Vantara.

The solution is built on Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform and immutable snapshots.

It cuts estimated recovery time from seven days to two hours, even after total storage loss across both data center sites, with a two-hour recovery point.

Hitachi Vantara says the architecture supports recovery testing aligned with the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
