Detecting and Mitigating ZDI-CAN-33367 and Five Other Linux Flaws

Sysdig, Saturday, October 24th, 2026

Sysdig covers six Linux flaws disclosed publicly by ZDI, including a kernel bug with a public root exploit but no CVE or fix.

The Sysdig Threat Research Team says a working root exploit for a Linux kernel bug is now public before the bug has a CVE or merged fix.

On October 20, Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative posted a ConnMan network manager bug report to a public mailing list.

On October 21, ZDI sent five reports to the Linux kernel security team, copying public lists on each, with reproduction details and several lacking patches.

Sysdig explains how to detect and mitigate the six flaws.
