TrueNAS provides a dedicated Proxmox plugin that streamlines storage administration by enabling zero-manual-provisioning, shared cluster storage, and integrated VM snapshots directly within the Proxmox interface.
TrueNAS offers a dedicated Proxmox plugin that entirely eliminates manual storage provisioning by allowing administrators to create, attach, and manage disks directly within the Proxmox interface without relying on custom scripts or separate consoles.
By leveraging this integration, users gain access to the complete Proxmox feature set—including shared cluster storage, integrated virtual machine snapshots, and independent block sizing—free from the traditional compatibility limits and volume chain restrictions of generic iSCSI targets or NFS exports.
Ultimately, this seamless open storage solution saves valuable time for infrastructure teams, resulting in fewer support tickets, faster turnaround times for new virtual machines, reduced human error, and enhanced overall availability across the cluster.
