Fortinet Expands Unified SASE to Simplify Microbranch Security

Fortinet, Tuesday, October 27th, 2026

Fortinet launches the FortiLink SASE Service to secure microbranches and remote sites without a dedicated on-site firewall.

Fortinet announced the FortiLink SASE Service, which connects local networks at small branches, remote facilities and temporary sites to FortiSASE through supported Fortinet Wi-Fi access points and Ethernet switches.

The service secures wired and wireless devices, including printers, cameras and IoT equipment that cannot run FortiClient, without requiring an on-site FortiGate.

Traffic inspection, policy enforcement and management are centralized in a single console.

Fortinet says the approach reduces the cost and complexity of deploying firewalls at every location.
