Five Cloud Sandbox Innovations That Close the Patient Zero Window
Zscaler, Tuesday, October 27th, 2026
Zscaler details five Cloud Sandbox innovations, including AI Instant Verdict, aimed at blocking patient zero infections inline.
Zscaler argues legacy out-of-band and endpoint sandboxes act after a file is delivered, so they cannot prevent the first infection.
Its AI Instant Verdict scores files inline in real time, giving about 91% an instant benign verdict and sending about 9% to full detonation.
Cloud Sandbox covers inline sandboxing, API-driven file analysis, and an Endpoint Sandbox for offline paths like USB drives slated for early 2027, plus macOS .dmg and .pkg detonation, files up to 200 MB, and 10-layer archive inspection.
Content Disarm and Reconstruction and two agentic AI protections are planned for early 2027, and Zscaler cites NSS Labs Q2 2026 results of 98.85% security effectiveness.
