Spectra Logic Storage Reclaim Packages Tape, BlackPearl, and Data Movers Into Six Configurations From 1PB to 24PB to Free Flash
StorageReview, Tuesday, October 27th, 2026
Spectra Logic launches Storage Reclaim, bundling tape, BlackPearl and data movers in six configurations from 1PB to 24PB to free up flash.
Spectra Logic introduced Spectra Storage Reclaim, tied to sharply rising flash prices in 2026, a bundle of analysis software, data movers, BlackPearl object storage, tape, and services that finds inactive unstructured data on flash and disk and moves it to tape.
The process analyzes data age and access, identifies eligible files by policy, moves them while keeping them visible and recallable, and reclaims freed capacity.
Customers can use Spectra StorCycle or third-party movers such as Komprise, Starfish, or rclone, landing data on a BlackPearl gateway with S3-compatible access.
Six pre-sized configurations range from 1.05PB to 24.3PB using LTO-9 drives, with assessment, installation, and three years of support.
