Grounding Agents in One Context Graph Connecting Semantic Models You Already Trust

Google, Thursday, October 29th, 2026

Google's Knowledge Catalog now generally ingests semantic models from Looker, dbt, Snowflake, Databricks and SAP into one context graph for agents.

The post argues agents give wrong answers because they do not understand business definitions that already live in semantic models locked inside separate tools.

Knowledge Catalog brings those models into one context graph so every agent uses the same trusted definitions, and when tools define a metric differently both definitions appear with provenance for data stewards to reconcile.

Google announced general availability of expanded semantic model support, with native ingestion from Looker LookML, BigQuery Graph and other sources.
