NHS Quango Warns of Risk to GP Patient Data After Website Vendor Collapse

The Register, Friday, October 30th, 2026

NHS England warned GPs about patient data risks after website supplier Silicon Practice Digital Health Solutions went into administration.

NHS England wrote to GP practices after Silicon Practice Digital Health Solutions, owned by Schappit Ltd, went into administration, with some practice websites going offline.

CTO Kevin Humphries urged practices to preserve historical patient information, manage the online consultation backlog, set up alternative patient access channels and consider whether they must notify the Information Commissioner's Office.

Integrated Care Boards are to lead recovery and review business continuity plans.

GP Marcus Baw published a free open source replacement website template based on NHS web standards.
