SAP TechEd in 2026: SAP Tells Developers 'You Can Build the Autonomous Enterprise'

At SAP TechEd 2026, SAP leaders pitched Joule Work and the SAP Business AI Platform as the base for building the Autonomous Enterprise.
SAP marked 30 years of developer events, with CTO Philipp Herzig calling AI the biggest and fastest technological shift of our lifetime and noting that developers are moving from deterministic systems to AI-driven ones.
He described Joule Work as a new way to experience software, using SAP's five autonomous domains and assistants that reason and act across SAP and non-SAP data.
SAP Business AI Platform is presented as the foundation for building and extending agents, managing data and governing AI experiences.
SAP says developers, customers and partners can use its AI tools to build the Autonomous Enterprise.
