Broadcom has announced updates to VMware vDefend and VMware Avi Load Balancer for multi-layer private cloud defense on VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1. vDefend introduces a three-step 'vDefend 1-2-3' deployment workflow for Advanced Threat Prevention.
The release adds on-premises malware sandboxing and full air-gapped support for environments that cannot send samples externally.
Avi Load Balancer gains complementary capabilities aimed at operational efficiency alongside the security additions.
